SHILLONG, FEB 22: Three members of the Meghalaya Sport Climbing & Mountaineering Association (MeSCMA) have been selected by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMP) to attend the Adventure Travel Escort Course (ATEC) as participants to be held at National Institute of Mountaineering Allied Sports (NIMAS), Arunachal Pradesh from February 25 to March 3.
Informing this on Friday, the association said the three members include Bakordor Umsong from Lyngkyrdem, Rilang Dkhar from Nongpoh and Ibakordorshisha Sawian from Madanryting.
It also informed that for this course, the IMF has appointed Wallambok Lyngdoh, General Secretary, as Coordinator while Ngandarihun Sohshang from Mawprem has been appointed as Guest Instructor by NIMAS.
Under the directions of Ministry of Tourism, Travel Escort Course is being conducted in Mountaineering Training Institutes of the Country in the month of January, February and March.
It will help aspirants work as Adventure Travel Escort with Trekking and expeditions. Each course will have 15 days duration.
