SHILLONG, JAN 9: The ruling National People’s Party (NPP) on Wednesday announced its second list of four candidates for the forthcoming elections to the 29-member Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) slated to be held on February 27.
The list declared by the election committee, KHADC of the party include Raton Manick Mukhim from Mawhati, Holiwell Khongstid – Nongskhen, Pynthymmaibor Chyne – Shella and Alvin Khyriem Sawkmie – Mawsynram.
Earlier, the party had announced 11 candidates in its first released on December last year which include three sitting MDCs – Jansing Tynsong from Langkyrdem Laitkroh, Victor Ranee from Jirang and Pyniaid Sing Syiem from Sohryngkham.
Meanwhile, the name of KHADC chief Hispreaching Son Shylla, who is the sitting MDC of Nongkrem constituency, is yet to be announced by the party.
