SHILLONG, DEC 31: The United Democratic Party (UDP) on Monday released its third list of nine candidates for the forthcoming elections to the KHADC and JHADC slated to be held on February 27, 2019.
The list approved by the state election committee (SEC) also include former legislator of West Shillong and working president of the party Paul Lyngdoh, who will be contesting from Jaiaw constituency.
The other candidates include – Marki Mulieh – Jowai North, Dawan Lyngdoh – Mynsngat Khanduli, Herman Khonglah – War West, Shanbor Sumer – Barato Mukroh, Lakhon Biam – Nangbah, Saralinda Kharlukhi – Mawkhar Pynthorumkhrah, Toning Tyrsa – Nongstoin and Kisborly Kharbani – Mawhati.
Earlier, the party had already announced as many as 26 candidates for both ADCs.
According to the general secretary Jemino Mawthoh, 20 seats are left to be declared by the party which include two each in West Khasi Hills, East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi while 8 in West Jaintia Hills and 6 in East Jaintia Hills.
