SHILLONG, APR 12: The vice president of India Venkaiah Naidu will be visiting the state on April 16.
Naidu is expected to land Shillong ALG in the morning and from there he will be visiting the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in the city.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, SP (Traffic) BJ Laloo said during the vice president’s travel from ALG to IIM at Lawjynriew, Nongthymmai, there may be a temporary stoppage of traffic considering the security protocol that has to be followed during his visit.
“There is likelihood that traffic movement within the city will be affected,” he said while stating that all efforts will be made to ensure the traffic flow is immediately restored.
