SHILLONG, MAR 13: The Budget Session of the tenth Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will begin from March 16 to April 20.
The calendar for the Budget Session was approved by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) headed by the Assembly’s Speaker Donkupar Roy in a meeting held here on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, Roy said that the budget session will begin from March 16 to April 20.
There will be 18 working days of which 12 days have been allotted for government business while 6 days for private members’ business, he said.
Meghalaya Governor Ganga Prasad will deliver his address on the first day of the budget session.
Meanwhile, the election to the office of the Assembly’s deputy speaker will be held on March 21.
The budget estimates for the financial year 2018-19 and also the vote on account 2018-19 will be presented by the chief minister Conrad Sangma on March 23.
