Shillong, Nov 22: Shillong will go live on Saturday in Tenaction when the channel gives live coverage to the seventh round match between Shillong Lajong FC and Churchill Brothers from 1:50 pm. The kick off time of the match is scheduled for 2:30 pm at JN stadium.
From 1:50 the channel will be giving the match preview followed by the kick off of the match till the last whistle.
This is the third season Shillong is hosting I-League and it will be the second live match that will be broadcast live from Shillong. Last time the match that went live in air was in Zee Sports during 2009-10 match between Mohun Bagan and Lajong.
Last season, Lajong played their home matches in three different venues Imphal, Guwahati and Shillong, as JN Sports complex was getting a face uplift from natural to astro-turf.
They were scheduled to go live match between Mohan Bagan and Lajong as the match was played in Manipur capital they showed a recorded version.
This is the second visit for Churchill Brothers technical director Subash Bhowmik He said, “When I last came to Shillong it was different. There was no traffic jam like today, city was clean and environment was clean too. I understand now the population has gone up too”.
Bhomik had visited Shillong as a footballer from Bengal when Shillong had hosted All India School Games in 1966-67.- By Our Reporter
