SHILLONG, JAN 25: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today announced its second list of six candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls to be held on February 27.
The list includes two former legislators – NCP state chief Saleng A Sangma from Gambegre constituency and Desang M Sangma from Rongjeng constituency.
It may be mentioned that Saleng was recently appointed as the party’s state president after he resigned as member of the Assembly and joined the NCP.
The other candidates are Dorendro M Sangma from Dalu constituency, Priyam Ch Sangma from Kharkutta constituency, Nilkamal D Sangma from Tikrikilla constituency ad Dr Tweel K Marak from Resubelpara constituency.
So far, the NCP has released 12 candidates and according to the party the next list of candidates will follow in the next few days.

Maintaining that it would go to the polls alone, the NCP had earlier informed its intention to contest from as many as 42 out of 60 seats in the upcoming polls.
