Ganja seized

SHILLONG, JUNE 26: Two persons from Tripura were arrested after a huge cache of ganja was seized from their possession in the city here on Monday.

The accused have been identified as Hirani Deb Barma (26) and Mangal Deb Burma (19), both hailing from West Tripura District, police said.

The duo were arrested by the patrolling party led by UBC Mark Kharkongor and duly assisted by SI E S Momin while they were moving suspiciously in Police Bazaar area in the morning, they said.

41 kgs of ganja worth several lakhs was seized from their possession. The seizure made was a big catch by the police after a very long time.
