BBS college Arm Wrestling Champ 2016

SHILLONG, DEC 7: Buddha Bhanu Saraswati (BBS) college arm wrestling players brought laurel by lifting the first every championship trophy of Inter College Arm Wrestling Competition -2016 organised by the Meghalaya Wrestling Association on Tuesday.

The players of BBS college won both the boys and girl’s category by scoring highest number of points followed by Shillong College. The players also won over the top through its two students Mathias Marbaniang and Alisha Sunuwar.

The championship was a one-day event which taken part by 47 boys and 26 girls from six colleges of the city. The organisers said this event was organised to scout talented players from among the young students below 18 years of age and train them for future competition in the coming years.

The association will also organise state level competition for Inter-State-competition next year.

4.     Alisha Sunuwar (Girls below 65v Kg)

5.     Nidawanbha Rabon (Girls below 75 Kg)

6.     Franklin Ch Momin (Boys below 60 Kg)

7.     Ashish Chettri (Boys below 80 Kg)

8.     Mathias Marbaniang (Boys below 90 Kg)

Silver Winners

1.     Savita Adhikari ( Girls below 45 Kg)

2.     Rakesh Roy ( Boys below  70 Kg)

Bronze Winners

1.     Ankita Mittal   ( Girls below 45 Kg)
