SHILLONG, NOV 5: One Love Singh Star Mukhim of Jaroit village was arrested for allegedly raping an eight year old girl on Friday.
The accused, who is also the brother-in-law of the minor girl, was arrested from Mawkhanu village in East Khasi Hills district after the family members of the victim lodged an FIR against him, sources said.
They said that Mukhim had committed the crime against the minor in a nearby jungle at Diengpasoh.
The victim has been hospitalized just hours after the incident.
Chairperson of SCPCR Meena Kharkongor on hearing the incident of rape of a minor who has been hospitalized, immediately rushed with DCPO to the hospital.-By Our Reporter
