Shillong, Oct 09: Two persons were arrested by Ri-Bhoi polie at Diwon village for kidnapping and allegedly raping a minor girl recently.
One of the accused has been identified as Suraj Khymdeit but the other one names could not be disclosed as he was still a minor. The police however refused give any details regarding the case. Police said that the case is under investigation.
Meanwhile four persons were arrested by the police on Monday in Garo hills while they were forcefully extorting money and were also involved in attempt to murder.. During the search, police seized and recovered one dummy AK rifle from them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rongbin Sangma, Bothen Sangma, Jakal R. Marak and Rosan alias Sim. The case falls under the Ampati police station. The police are carrying out investigation in this case too.-By Our Reporter
