TURA, NOV 17: The United A’chik Liberation Army (UALA), which is holding parley with the state government, has called for a general meeting of all its cadres on November 22, the outfit’s release today said.
The outfit’s chairman Chiindik Marak informed that the meeting has been called as the state government has notified the date for settlement. “We have directed all cadres to come to our headquarters on or before November 22”, he said.
In December last year, the outfit held its first round of talks with the state government. “We are happy that the settlement is expected soon”, the outfit’s chairman said. The outfit also urged other militant organisations to come forward for peace talks.-From Our Correspondent
