SHILLONG, SEPT 22: East Khasi hills deputy commissioner PS Dkhar will start his investigation into the alleged anomalies in the PDS at Sohiong village next week even as the East Khasi hills SP M Kharkhrang said that he has registered a case as per the direction of the Meghalaya high court.
The Meghalaya high court had directed East Khasi hills deputy commissioner to inquire and take action into the alleged anomalies in the PDS within three months besides directing the SP to register a case on the alleged PDS anomalies the Sohiong police station had failed to registered a case filed by the Civil Society Women Organisation (CSWO).
In his order Meghalaya high court justice SR Sen said, “The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills district, Shillong is appointed as an enquiry office to examine the matter and to find the truth and to take action under law against the persons responsible for the anomalies, so that no consumer will be deprived in future.”
Dkhar told this reporter that he will start his investigation into the alleged PDS scam next week and will complete with the deadline given by the high court.- By Our Reporter
