One GNLA cadre killed, five arrested by GH police

Shillong Oct 6: A GNLA cadre L. Sangma was shot dead and five others were arrested Saturday. One AK 47 was also recovered by the police today.

Among the five arrested GNLA, three are over ground workers. A sum of Rs. 4, 75,000 was recovered from them by the Garo Hills police while they were collecting ransom amount from business men from Williamnagar Saturday morning.

The fifth that was arrested is a gun supplier of GNLA at Dagal in East Garo Hills.-By Our Reporter
