Shillong, Oct 4: Shillong Lajong FC (SLFC) Thursday completed its quota of signing of foreign player by roping in North Korean Minchol Son and also formally announced the induction of Samuel Shadap to the senior side.
Lajong’s general secretary Larsing M told the media, “We have signed in North Korean under-19 national player for the I-League from the Asian quota and also confirmed Samuel’s induction into the senior team as regular.” Shadap has become the first player to be playing the in the senior team from the Youth Developmental Project of SLFC and get the professional contract for four years”.
Samuel has been with Lajong for past four years and joined the club for under 14 side, he got
an opportunity to play for club’s senior side during the North East Lajong Super Series where
he proved his mettle that led to his induction into the side that will be playing the I-League.
On the clubs performance in the coming season Ming said, “The club will try to improve its
standing and I hope the club will stand at the end of 26 matches at the top seven of the
Indian football”.
This will be the third stint for Lajong in the I-League and Ming hoped that with the support of the fan’s the team can be one of the top club in the country.
Football crazy city will be witnessing the opening match of the I-League when Lajong clash with Mohan Bagan on Saturday.
