SHILLONG, APR 5: The historic Shillong Golf Course , also known for its scenic beauty, storeroom was gutted by sudden fire after Saturday’s midnight. The specific reason for this fire is yet to be established and police is investigating the source of this tragic incident.
However, the management of the Shillong Golf Club expressed their sincere gratitude to the fire brigade team for the timely rescue operations which prevented the fire from spreading to the main golf club.
The police investigation will unravel if there was any foul play to the tragedy. The total damage is anticipated to be around 1.5 crore approximately.- By Our Reporter
