SHILLONG, MAR 20: The state government has projected estimate revenue receipts of Rs 10,168 crore by 2018, chief minister Mukul Sangma informed the assembly on Friday. Replying in the assembly on Friday, Sangma said, “The revenue expenditure of the state during 2017-18 is estimated at Rs 9221 crore with a surplus of Rs 946 crore.”
Sangma further informed that the revenue receipts of the state are also estimated at Rs 8403 crore in 2015-16 with a surplus revenue of Rs 782 crore and Rs 9243 crore in 2016-17, the surplus revenue of which is Rs 860 crore.”
On the expenditure aspect, Sangma said, “The revenue expenditure of the state in the next three years is estimated at Rs 9221
Sharing the revenue receipts of the state in the last five years, Sangma said, during 2009-10, the revenue receipts was Rs 3447 crore, 2010-11 was Rs 4260 crore, 2011-12 at Rs 4654 crore, 2012-13 at Rs 5536 crore and 2013-14 at Rs 6266 crore.
However, the revenue expenditure of the state in the last five years was Rs 3182 crore in 2009-10, Rs 4013 crore in 2010-11, Rs 4835 crore in 2011-12, Rs 4999 crore in 2012-13 and Rs 5552 crore in 2013-14.- By Our Reporter
