SHILLONG, MAR 19: Meghalaya governor Keshari Nath Tripathi administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new Meghalaya high court chief justice Uma Nath Singh at the Raj Bhavan on Thursday.
Justice Singh had earlier served at the acting Meghalaya high court chief justice replacing Justice PC Pant.
He is the third chief justice of the new Meghalaya high court set up in 2013.
Chief minister Mukul Sangma, Meghalaya Resource Mobilization & Employment Generation Council chairperson Dikkanchi Shira, Meghalaya high court judges SR Sen, TNK Singh and other dignitaries were present during the oath taking ceremony.- By Our Reporter
