SHILLONG, MAR 9: The second Indian Panorama Film Festival (IPFF) in Shillong is slated to start from March12 to14 at U Soso Tham auditorium with the national award winning Khasi film Ri-Home of Uncertainty slotted to be screened on the final of the festival.
Meghalaya Information and Public Relations director HM Shangpliang said that films from across the country have been chosen for screening in the 2015 edition of the IPFF and the total cost of the three-day festival is estimated to be around Rs 40 lakh, lower than last year’s amount.
Shangpliang also told reporters on Monday that names of those the high profile guests and film stars will be announced later.
All events like the inauguration ceremony, film screenings and workshops for students and local filmmakers will be held in U Soso Tham auditorium.
Regional films like Songs of the Blue Hills, a film by Utpal Borpujari on the Naga tribes, short film A Dream Never Dies and Othello, both of which are in Assamese will also be screened.- By Our Reporter
