Rana promoted to ADG, Sunn as IGP

SHILLONG, JAN 21: Meghalaya’s Inspector General of Police –CID- BR Rana has been promoted to Additional Director General of Police –ADGP. With his promotion Rana has been posted as ADGP administration in the Meghalaya police headquarter.

Another senior Meghalaya police officer who has been promoted is DIG –ER- A Sunn. He has been promoted to the rank of Inspector General of Police and will functions as IG –Eastern Range.

DIG – CID/ACB/Vig- H Marbaniang also has been promoted as Inspector General of Police. He has now been posted as IGP who will look after CID.

Two other police officers who have been promoted to selection grade of IPS officers are A Mawthoh and SS Kynjing. Mawthoh will continue as the commandant of the 1^st MLP battalion and Kynjing as the principal of Police Training School.- By Our Reporter
