Shillong, Sept 18: The 15th annual conference of the Indian Society of Neuroradiology (ISNR) with the theme “Recent Trends in Neuroimaging & Interventional Neuroradiology” will be held from 20th September at the multi use convention centre of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, wherein renowned international and national Neuroradiology faculty will be participating in the up-coming four-day seminar.
“We have overwhelming response as far as e posters submissions are concerned. There will be active participation from our neighboring countries Nepal and Bangladesh,” Organizing Secretary Dr C Daniala, Professor and HOD, Radiology, NEIGRIHMS told Oh!Meghalaya.
Dr Daniala further advised that as some rain is still expected, delegates are requested to bring folding umbrellas, torch light and light warm clothes.
“We have arranged for accommodation at the campus and in the city as well,” Dr Daniala said while elaborating that campus accommodations have been arranged in five different guest houses. Shuttle transport services will be provided from the venue.
“From NEHU New Guest House and ICSSR Guest House to all venues are within walking distance,” the Organizing Secretary added.
According to the schedule, while the official inauguration will start only at 6:30 PM on 20th September, at the Convocation Hall, scientific sessions will start at 9 AM. The inauguration will be followed by various traditional cultural dances of North East and dinner. On all other days, scientific sessions will start at 8:30 AM. A musical program will be held in the Convocation Hall, while banquet dinner will be at Hotel Pinewood near the Ward’s Lake.
Enthused by the mega event of neurologists, Dr Daniala said, “We have tied up with Meghalaya Tourism Department as this is the right time for tourist just before the rush of October tourists.” By Our Reporter
