SHILLONG, OCT 13: The All Regional Parties Alliance (ARPA), a ruling coalition in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC,) is likely to convene an emergent meeting on Tuesday following the resignation of the deputy chairman on Monday.
Pyniaid Sing Syiem of the Hill State People Democratic Party (HSPDP) quits the deputy chairman’s saying he was unhappy over the events followed after the elections of the new CEM election five days ago.
Commenting on the sudden resignation of Syiem, KHADC CEM Adelbert Nongrum claimed he is not aware of the reasons that led the deputy chairmanto resign from the post.
“I am not aware about the reasons and that no letter on this regard has even reached my office,” Nongrum, who is a KHNAM MDC said. He, however, informed, “A meeting of the ARPA will be convened to discuss the issue on Tuesday.”- By Our Reporter
