Militant leader’s body found

TURA, SEPT 10: Meghalaya police and BSF personnel busted the United A’chik Liberation Army (UALA) camp at Dajugre, near Tikrikilla in West Garo hills district and found the body of slain UALA deputy commander Jagring. Jagring was killed yesterday by his own cadres. West Garo hills SP Mukesh Singh said, “The body is believed to be of Jagring”.

Wednesday’s operation was conducted based on inputs provided by arrested UALA militnat Debura R. Marak. He was arrested yesterday from Dadenggre in West Garo Hills. The camp was busted at 9 am. Police have recovered dummy AK’s and rice bags. The joint operation is still on in Tikrikilla area. – From Our Correspondent
