‘Teacher joins HNLC’

SHILLONG, AUG 25: A schoolteacher  on Monday claim he has decided to join the proscribed Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC).  The teacher whose credential and antecedent is yet to be known on Monday issued a communique to selected media-houses via email ID named – “Sromwel Mawdoh” informing that he had joined the outfit.

However in the communique the teacher has failed to specifically identify his identity, the school he was teaching and the place he belongs to but the only thing he disclosed was that he was a teacher.  “I have joined the HNLC through my own free will,” the unidentified teacher said.

The teacher said, “As one among the teachers of the state, in the past few years after observing the way the outfit is functioning, I was deeply influence by its ideology especially when the former KSU vice president Fredrick Kharmawphlang join the outfit last year.”

The teacher said, “Therefore I decided to take this opportunity to continue my endeavour to contribute to the uplift of education especially in the rural flung areas and to also free the society from the misguided teachings to brainwash the tribal mindset and especially those teachers who are against history, development and culture vis-à-vis geography of the seven huts.”

“By joining the outfit, I want to bring about a change and streamline the mindsets,” he claimed.- By Our Reporter
