SHILLONG, JUNE 3: Former Lok Sabha speaker and NPP MP Purno A Sangma and Meghalaya assembly speaker AT Mondal condoled the death of union minister of rural development Gopinath Munde even as they expressed shocked over his sudden demise and untimely demise.
In a condolence letter to the bereaved family, Sangma said, “It is not only a personal loss to you and your family, but it is a great loss to the Bhartiya Janata Party and the nation as a whole.”
Sangma said Munde was a mass leader who rose from grass root level to the great heights in his political career. He said, “In his (Munde) passing away, the country has lost a tall leader and a very good human being.”
Meghalaya assembly speaker AT Mondal also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the sudden passing away of Munde.
In a condolence message to the bereaved family, Mondal rcalled Munde as one of the most prominent leader in Maharashtra and who had donned various roles in Maharashtra, including that of deputy chief minister and leader of opposition.- By Our Reporter
