Shillong, Sep 5: Along with the rest of the states in the north east except Assam, the twelve hours bandh called by the North East Students’ Organisation (NESO) will begin from 5 am to 5 pm Thursday in Meghalaya.
The bandh call by the NESO has been given to put pressure on the governments of different north eastern states for deportation of illegal immigrants and also to bring to focus the much needed security for the people of north east origin studying and working outside.
However in Guwahati a public rally is being organized by NESO to bring into focus the migration of illegal Bangladeshis into Assam.
Meanwhile to tackle the NESO bandh and ensure that office goers are not hampered going to work, the district administration has arrange transportation for the government servant to attend offices.
The busses will ply from 10 am through different routes. The routes that have worked out by the district administration are as follows:
(1) Laban via Last Stop Laban – Bishnupur-Kench’s Trace Civil Hospital – I.G.P. (2) Rynjah- Madanrting- Nongthymmai- Laitumkhrah- Don Bosco Point- Dhanketi Point- Malki Point – I.G.P. (3) Nongmensong – Pynthorbah – Lumshyiap – Golf-link- Polo – I.G.P. (4) Jaiaw- Mawkhar – Motphran Point – Police Bazar Point- Kachari Point – I.G.P. (5) Mawlai Petrol Point- Mawlai Nonglum Point- Mawlai Mawdatbaki (Stand Bus) – Polo- I.G.P. (6) Mawprem Point – District Council Point – Jhalupara Point- Rilbong Point- Anjalee Petrol Point- Civil Hospital – I.G.P. and (7) 7th Mile Upper Shillong- 5th Mile Point – 3rd Mile- Lummawbah Point – Rilbong Point – Civil Hospital Point- I.G.P- By Our Reporter
