SHILLONG, MAR 9: The East Khasi hills District Election Officer has informed that the Election Commission of India has directed to hold a Special Camp on the March 15 for enrollment of left out voters or whose names has been wrongly deleted during the last Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to 1st January, 2014 as qualifying date. All the Booth Level Officers will be available at their respective polling stations with effect from 10th March, 2014 till the 15th March, 2014 along with appropriate form.
The DEO said that mere possession of Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC) is no guarantee that their names is included in the Electoral Rolls, the general public have been requested to check their names in the current Electoral Rolls during the aforesaid mentioned dates.
If with reference to the above said qualifying date, should there be any claim for the inclusion or re-inclusion of a name in the roll, it should be lodge in From 6. The public is also directed to bring along with such evidence(s) as they may like to adduce in support of their claims.- By Our Reporter
