Bodies recovered in JH

SHILLONG, FEB 14: Two decomposed bodies were recovered from separate coalmines in Jaintia hills. One person succumbed to injuries after he fell into an abandoned coal pit in Meghalaya’s East Jaintia hills district. In another case an unidentified decomposed female dead body was recovered from a coalmine at Jalyiah village, while another unidentified male body was recovered on Saturday from a coal quarry at Soo Kilo village.

It is also learnt that on February 1 at around 1pm, a coal labourer, who has been identified as Phising Suchiang, slipped and fell down into an abandoned coal pit while he was on his way from Khliehriat towards Wahsiej, Rymbai. The labourer later succumbed to his injuries.- By Our Reporter
