MUDA shop gutted in fire

SHILLONG, FEB 13: A garment shop was gutted in a fire in one of the stalls inside the Meghalaya Urban Development Affair (MUDA) shopping complex in Khyndailad on Thursday morning. The shop belonged to one Pravanshu Choudhury.   The incident took place at around 8.30 am. The shop was located at the first floor of the MUDA shopping complex, police said.   Panic striken shop owners of other shops rushed to Khyndailad soon after they were informed about the incident.  The No-62 shop selling garments was completely gutted and the loss is estimated at around Rs 10 – 15 lakh.- By Our Reporter
