Bicycle race for V-Day

SHILLONG, JAN 22: The South Garo hills district deputy commissioner (Elections) will be holding a bicycle race for both men and women as part of the celebration of National Voter’s Day January 25 at 7 am. After the bicycle race, there will be a procession from Ampati Mini-Stadium to Multi Facility Centre, DC’s office complex to mark the celebration.

The Bicycle race will be flagged off by the deputy commissioner (Election) Ram Singh at Ampati mini stadium and will cover Latrigre, Thakuranbari, Oidoba (Borkona), Chondonpara Songma, Betasing , thereafter culminating at Ampati Mini Stadium.

The bicycle race will carry cash prizes of Rs. 10,000, Rs 7000 and Rs.5000 each for the first, second and third winners in both men’s and women’s categories.– By Our Reporter
