BSF arrest GNLA’s OGW

SHILLONG, NOV 28:  An over ground worker (OGW)of the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) militant outfit was apprehended by the BSF from Jungmait village in West Garo hills district on Thursday. Toren Sangma (25) was apprehended from a Tata vehicle (ML-07B-3087) at his residence in Jungmait village, BSF officials said.

During preliminary interrogation, Sangma confessed that he was working for the GNLA and was involved in collection of the extortion money of the outfit. According to BSF officials, two days ago Sangma had collected an amount of Rs 2.2 lakhs from Tikrikilla market on behalf of the outfit.- By Our Reporter
