DGP rushes to GH

SHILLONG, NOV 5: Hours after five policemen were killed in South Garo hills by militants on Tuesday, state home minister Roshan Warjri held a meeting with state DGP Peter Hanaman to review the law and order situation in the militants infested five districts of Garo hills. Hannaman rushed to Garo hills to personally see the ground realities and held meeting with his officers and district administration. While condoling the death of the five policemen, Warjri condemned the attack and said that several steps are being taken to contain the law and order situations in the Garo hills districts, but refused the reveal the steps that the review meeting mooted.- By Our Reporter
