Shillong, August 26 : As the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU continued to remain under the darkness, the university authority has suspended class till September 2 much to the chagrin of the student community.
One of the leader of the NEHU hostellers Rosibian Shangpliang said that the suspension of classes is not welcomed at all as it is adversely affecting the studies.
Shangpliang sounded peeved at the NEHU authority as he said that many hostellers had to go homes because electricity and water supply was not available.
On Thursday last, the NEHU authority had issued a circular informing about the decision to suspend classes till September 2 which did not go well with the hostellers. There are about two thousand people staying in the NEHU complex that includes students, teachers and the university staff. –By Our Reporter
