1 lakh ml of IMFL seized in EKH during Puja celebrations

 Over one lakh ml of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) were seized by the East Khasi Hills district police during the puja celebrations.

SP (City) Vivek Syiem in a statement on Wednesday informed that the police has conducted several vice raids and vigorous patrolling for the safety of the public and also to prevent untoward incidents in the city during the puja celebrations .

Vice raids are conducted in Paltan Bazar, Jeep Stand, Mawblei area, Khlieh Iew, Meat Market, Mawlonghat, Urkaliar, Laitumkhrah Market, Mawbah, Jhalupara, Polo Market and seized 102,910 ml of IMFL, 260 ltrs of illicit liquor and 15,100 ml of beer.
